Try our Retirement Blend

The anti-inflammatory properties of this blend combined with circulatory stimulants and elimination initiators provides gentle support for senior equines and hardworking horses experiencing minor aches and pains.

Within the blend, formulated by equine natural therapist Catherine Bird, quantities were determined to enhance the complementary actions of each herb to produce a quality blend supportive of comfortable movement.

So what is in our blend?

Willow Bark Shavings
is a gentle reducer of post exercise inflammatory pain, and one of the broadest relievers of heat and pain in most body systems. Although traditionally a soothing gut herb, care should be taken where gastrointestinal ulcers are in an acute stage.

Celery seed
targets the elimination of acidic accumulations associated with arthritis, and stiff muscles after exercise, as well as nutritionally supporting older ponies’ hooves.

St Mary Thistle Seeds
has a remarkable protective and restorative effect on the liver, where a contented liver supports the elasticity and health of connective tissue.

Rosemary
is a powerful natural antioxidant that strengthens capillaries, and while calming the nervous system is a nutritive herb for an ageing circulatory system.

Bilberry Leaf
improves circulation and peripheral blood and lymph flow. As capillary function improves, congestion of the limbs is more easily mobilised with efficient lymphatic drainage.

Capsicum
invites a shared purpose and creates cohesion between each individual herb to deliver your horse affordable ease of movement while ageing or when adjusting to new workloads.

Frankincense
is rejuvenating and provides the older horse, or a horse in recovery, reduced inflammation and relieves swelling associated with arthritis.
