I should let you know that I have been using the green lipped mussel powder on an 11 year old TB for some time now. His history is unknown (as is usual for me) and he can be a bit grumpy at times and a bit stiff on the off side.
I sent him away recently for 5 weeks training and when I went to ride him at the trainer’s she said he needs careful warming up as he’s stiff and doesn’t want to bend on the off side. (I didn’t send the powder as it was too hard to expect it to be regularly fed and frankly I didn’t think of it.)
When he returned home, I started him on it again and within 10 days, yes, he’s no longer all that stiff when you first ride him and bends around my leg extremely well considering there is a question mark on an old injury.
It’s a product that I take also and I wouldn’t be without it here for the occasional horse that has been through an unknown mill.
