[Apium graveolens] Widely grown as a vegetable and salad plant, the seeds of this plant are used to treat urinary, rheumatic and arthritic problems. A good cleansing, mildly diuretic herb, useful in ridding the system of an accumulation of waste products. An improvement in circulation of fluids encourages a horse to drink and sweat more easily. Celery has a significant antiseptic action with carminative (warming) effects.
